*@Birch, p. 35: the letter survives only in the collection of documents made in support of the post-conquest claim to the primacy against York.
*An edition is also given by H. Boehmer, Die Fälschungen Erzbischof Lanfranks von Canterbury (Leipzig, 1902) no. 9, pp. 157-9. Boehmer considered it spurious, but according to Birch (p. 35) the first part is probably genuine. The second part, concerning the primacy of Canterbury, must at least have been tampered with by Canterbury forgers.
