Description

King William notifies all his French and English sheriffs and officials of London that he has granted to the abbey of Westminster and Abbot Vitalis the gift which Ælfwald of St Botulph’s Gate gave when he became a monk of the abbey, namely his curia with his houses, a wharf near the head of London bridge, and his other lands in the city, as King Edward had granted.
