Description

King William concedes and confirms to the abbey of St Augustine’s, Canterbury, the estate of Plumstead, Kent, which Earl Godwine had fraudulently and unjustly taken from the monks and given to his son Tostig, and which King Edward had restored to the abbey. Odo of Bayeux, renounces the claim which he had made to the estate.
