(Ealdorman of Berkshire, fl. 860, d.871) : Ęthelwulf 16 with his followers (?????) met Anonymi 53 and Anonymi 54 in a place called Englefield. Both sides fought spiritedly and stood firm for a long time. After one of the comites (Anonymi 53) and a very large part of the army (Anonymi 54) had been destroyed, the Christians gained the victory and controlled the place of death.
