| Description |
Felgild 1 put in water part of the skin used by Ęthelwald 8 to repair the oratory. Then, he washed his face with it and immediately all the swelling departed. |

*For this miracle Bede says that it cannot be established whether it has to be ascribed to Cuthbert or Ęthelwald or both, or perhaps even to Felgild himself's merits.

(Hermit) : Felgild himself related the story after Ceolberht 1 had done so, adding that since then his face had always been free from this affliction. He also gave this skin as a relic to those who asked him, dividing it in pieces.
