(Abbot of Lindisfarne, fl. 687) : He went to see Cuthbert on the morning when the illness began. He insisted that some brethren should stay and minister to him while ill, but Cuthbert did not accept the suggestion.
(Brethren who visited Cuthbert 1 with Herefrith) : They were visiting Cuthbert with Herefrith when the former was attacked by a sudden illness.
(Saint; bishop of Hexham, 684-685, and Lindisfarne, 685-687) : He told Herefrith about the illness which had attacked him during the night. He also told Herefrith how and where he had to be buried on Farne island. Finally he also told him that God himself would have directed him about the time when he had to come back to Farne Island.
