King William 1 concedes and confirms to the abbey of St Augustine’s, Canterbury, the estate of Plumstead, Kent, which Earl Godwine 51 had fraudulently and unjustly taken from the monks and given to his son Tosti 2, and which King Edward 15 had restored to the abbey. Odo 3 of Bayeux, renounces the claim which he had made to the estate. |
