Notes: This identification of the unnamed recipient of Alcuin.Ep.122 is made solely on the basis of @William of Malmesbury, De gestis regum Anglorum i.70 and 94: see further @Dümmler 1895, p. 178 n. 4. William was probably mistaken; there was only one Patricius in Offa's reign, the highly prominent Brorda 2.
